Fleece For Sale - Alpacas
Once we have sheared all our alpacas in June we skirt and grade all our fleece. We sell a lot of it commercially for the production of luxury yarn. Fibre from the legs and bellies are sent off for making Duvets. We hold back our very best superfine fleeces to sell to hand spinners, many of these come from our crias first years fleece and some are our show fleeces. They are 'clean', straight from the alpacas and sold either by the fleece or by the kilo. We have a range of shades in all the main natural colour groups - white, fawn, brown, black & grey, and of course the white can be dyed any colour. There is very little waste from this fleece as it's been thoroughly skirted and graded.
